Everybody welcome, all ages!
Please bring your friends. Visitors to the Spook-O trail are welcome (indeed encouraged) to dress up for the occasion - as spooky as they wish. It will be very dark in the forest, so walkers WILL NEED TO BRING A TORCH and wear suitable footwear. We will provide a map and some little guide lights or a tape to mark the path, but without a torch it will not be easy to find your way! Spooky things may happen along the route… you have been warned. There will probably be sugar-filled sweet treats  available. Children are advised to clean their teeth properly before they go to bed. Ghosts and monsters and ghoulies and witches may be there to scare! Parents please look after your children. Children please look after your parents if they are scared!
This is not an orienteering event, but a spooky mapped trail run every year by WCOC for the entertainment of anyone who wishes to come along. Only very extreme weather conditions will lead to the cancellation of this event.

Registration Times:

Registration and Starts will be from the (dry, roofed) porch of the Whinlatter Shop.

Start Times:

6.30-7.30pm is the Witching Hour! Outside of this hour, the spooky residents of the forest will not be around to spook!

Organiser:

Esmerelda C. Wetherfield

Other Notes:

Note to WCOC members: Anyone who would like to help out with registration/set-up/clear-up, etc.. on the evening of the Spook-O, please let Witch Esmerelda C. Wetherfield know (wetherdale@talk21.com or 07961056105).  Otherwise, just turn up and enjoy yourselves on the trail.
