Assembly: In Castle Park at NX976180. Enter park gate at Catherine St/Duke St corner, or main gate on Lowther St. Parking: Always a problem in central Whitehaven. Closest official car-park is on Schoolhouse Lane (cost £2.30). Safe walking route to the park via Pelican crossing at main traffic lights (Lowther/Scotch) All the streets north of the Catherine/Duke park gates (Michael St up to High St) have 1 hour disc parking which become unrestricted at 6pm. If you use this option, please park with due consideration of residents.
