ennerdale

This Thursday - Bleach Green / Crag Fell (Ennerdale) - you choose...

You can either stay on the "low road" and take on the Sprint Challenge around the fields of Bleach Green and the edge of Ennerdale Water, which consists of a flatish 3.1km course with 17 controls - fast and furious.

Or you can decide to take the "high road" up onto Crag Fell on the Conqueror course, which has fewer controls with more straightforward navigation, but greater distance and much more climb!

Your final option is the Wayfarer course (easy navigation), which at 1.8km stays low around the paths of Bleach Green.

If there is time, you could even try more than one course...

Well done to all the WCOC juniors who braved illness, injury and the elements to take on the massed ranks of LOC in today's Yvette Baker qualifier at Askham Fell. Despite many good performances (again!) we just missed out on the first place. Many thanks to Vanessa, Junior Team Captain, for her efforts co-ordinating and organising all the entries today (while modelling the very latest in wet weather gear). Make sure you are all fit and well and let's see if we can do even better at the JK next weekend...

Unfortunately, due to permission being withdrawn at very short notice by the Forestry Commission yesterday, tonight's event at Setmurthy has had to be cancelled. See you at Claife Heights on Sunday, or Cockermouth (Memorial Gardens) next Thursday (12th March).

Congratulations to the strong contingent of WCOC members who made the trip to Leeds for the British Night Championships yesterday.  There were many excellent perfomances - highlights being wins for Sue Skinner on W50 and Alastair Thomas on M16.  For more results click here.
