Tuesday Night Training (TNT)

15 juniors and a handful of adults took part in TNT at Memorial Gardens on 22nd November. The session  was split into two groups, with the more experienced athletes running an interval session and the less experienced group playing a game of Snook-O in the dark.

The interval session comprised of 4 times 1200m loops with a sprint control pick at the end of each one – hard work!

Snook-O was a twenty minute score event, where the runners had to make as big a ‘break’ as possible in the time allowed. Four points were lost for every 30 seconds late back. Bea Gorrill won with a score of over 50 points!

There are four sessions left before Christmas with the basic details (venue and time) set out below:

• Tuesday 29th November: Whitehaven Athletics track (18:00 – 19:00
• Tuesday 6th December: Keswick technical session (1730 – 1830)
• Tuesday 13th December: Fun session in Cockermouth (1715 – 1815)
• Tuesday 20th December: Christmas Special. Venue TBC (1715 – 1815)
