Important Safety Notes:
- You must come and register before starting your run and you must return to registration to download even if you retire from your course.
- If you travelled to the event alone, you must state this at registration or leave your car keys.
- Although the hill is very runnable, it is also quite exposed, so come prepared and carry a whistle.

Start Times:

5.30-7pm

Courses Close:

8pm. You MUST be back to download by this time, even if you retire, so we know you are back safe.

Planner:

Phil and Adele Newall

Other Notes:

Welcome to the last night event before Xmas on the fast, runnable Caer Mote hill.
For those not aware, this is a very significant archaeological site with a likely Iron Age hill fort on the northeast flank, and a significant Roman camp adjacent to the parking.

*** Mince pies and mulled wine (with a bit of luck) on finishing! ***

New to Night Orienteering?

- You need to bring a decent head torch (and maybe a spare and/or spare battery) and make sure to dress appropriately for the weather.
- Pre-Christmas events are on easier areas or planned to be fairly easy with Long, Short, Red and Easy courses available, so are suitable for those trying night orienteering for the first time.
- Younger and/or inexperienced orienteers should be accompanied.
