Remember the Quid Games in Keswick back in May? We're taking inspiration from that for a different kind of Rocket League challenge!

It's still town-based sprint orienteering, but this time we're swapping the usual point-to-point courses for a score event. You'll have a time limit, a map full of controls and the freedom to choose your own route. The aim is simple: collect as many points as possible before time runs out!

The courses

Rocket: 30 minutes, 30 controls

Dash: 35 minutes, 30 controls

Spark: 20 minutes, 10 controls

Most controls are worth 10 points, but some are worth considerably more. You'll need to decide which controls to visit, which to leave behind and how to make the most of your time.

Beware the late penalty! You'll lose 10 points for every minute, or part-minute, that you're late back. Even being a few seconds late will cost you, so don't get carried away!

  • The Golden Tickets

There's a Jackpot Zone marked on the map, but the exact locations of the Golden Tickets are a secret!

The Golden Ticket control has a free Rocket League season pass for next year up for grabs for both the first eligible man and the first eligible woman to find it.

You'll need to decide whether exploring the Jackpot Zone is worth the time.

  • The Lucky Dip (also in the Jackpot Zone)

There's a another special control in the Jackpot Zone shared by all three courses where you can collect a numbered tag. Take just one tag per runner and keep it safe!

Once everyone has finished, we'll draw a winning number for a prize. It's a little bit of luck to go alongside all that navigation.

  • The Big One!

Look out for the control worth 50 points! It's a long way from some of the other controls, so you'll need to decide whether the big reward is worth the detour.

There's a special prize up for grabs for the first man and first woman there!

  • What's the strategy?

Do you collect lots of easy points? Head for the high-value controls? Search for a Golden Ticket? Or gamble on The Big One?

There's no single right answer. Plan your route, keep an eye on the clock and make your own decisions.

Good luck!

To be eligible for the prizes you will have to take part in THE MASS START at 5.45pm.

The MASS START is optional so if you aren't bothered about the prizes you can start anytime from 5.00 - 6.30pm (but bring a torch if you start late). League points will still be awarded to those who are not part of the mass start.

Registration Times:
