Please Note: if you are not a member of British Orienteering please read this important note regarding public liability insurance HERE

Courses:

All four courses will be available as usual. Long, Short, Trail/Red and Spark/Easy.
As with the last of the February events we suffer from later and later sunset. Just to say that starts will be delayed until it is dark.
The courses are good running as the area is fairly flat and has short grass, so race times will be quick.

There will be food and a bar available at the clubhouse. Carl is organising that side of things and I think some subsidy on the cost is involved, good value for competitors who wish to stay for the prizegiving.

Important Safety Notes:
- You must come and register before starting your run and you must return to registration to download even if you retire from your course.
- If you travelled to the event alone, you must state this at registration or leave your car keys.
- Please come prepared for bad weather and carry a whistle.

Start Times:

When it is dark to 7pm.

Courses Close:

8pm. You must be back to download by this time, even if you retire, so we know you are back safe.

Planner:

Roger Jackson

Other Notes:

Club Social after the event with 2 food options at the Golf Club - steak pie or veggie pie with chips and beans/peas and salad.
All for the bargain price of £5 thanks to WCOC!
Please make you meat or veggie choice when you enter the event and by
the latest SATURDAY 16:00 to give the caterers time to prepare.

New to Night Orienteering?
- You need to bring a decent head torch (and maybe a spare and/or spare battery) and make sure to dress appropriately for the weather.
- Post-Christmas events are on slightly tougher areas. Long, Short, Red and Easy courses should be available.
- Younger and/or inexperienced orienteers should be accompanied.
