Fast, open fell.
Parking:
Parking will be signed from the A66 at GR NY198311 ONLY, (the Dubwath / Pheasant Inn crossroads). This will avoid the sharpe bend in Wythop Mill when approaching from the other direction.
Note: There is a scheduled road closure between the Castle Inn and Embleton from 8th May for 2 weeks. Please check if you were going to approach via Bothel/A591.
Parking and Registration is on the road side. Please park with consideration for other road users and watch out for passing traffic.
Start and Finish: The Novice start is a short distance up the track from registration. The Long and Short start a bit higher up the track - but no more than 10 minutes. There is one finish and this is close to the Novice start.
Safety:
Be prepared, bring appropriate clothing in case of wet, cold weather. Dead bracken is present and the area is grazed by sheep so full leg cover advised. Check for ticks after your run.
